Eggs
Studies suggest eating protein in the morning will keep your hunger at bay longer than eating a bagel or other carbs. One egg has only 75 calories but packs 7 grams of high-quality protein, along with other vital nutrients. Bonci adds that your body will burn more calories digesting eggs than a carb-heavy breakfast. If you have high cholesterol, check with your doctor about how many eggs you can eat per week.
That's Good News because I eat eggs every morning. I have been sautéing mushrooms, squash and tomatoes and even adding a little cayenne pepper because I heard it helps increase your metabolism. YUM!
ReplyDeleteAlso today was great until about 1:30 when I started crashing and craving chocolate. (My time of month) I was kinda going stir crazy, then I remembered I had the Girl Scout cookies Julia is selling in my class. So I dug in. I thought Oh I will just have 3 to get the edge off. NOT! By 2:15 I devoured 13!!!! Yes 13!!!! Just for the record that equates to 13 points. I was so freaked out that I couldn't stop, I finally gave all the kids a cookies so they would be gone. Otherwise I would have consumed them all I am sure! After dinner I am at 34 points for the day. Which isn't too bad because I did go to bootcamp this AM so I earned at least the 5 points I am over! Those weak moments are Killers!!
ReplyDeleteTip No. 19: Chew sugarless gum.
ReplyDeleteThe next time you want to grab a fattening snack, reach for some sugar-free gum instead. Chewing some types of gum gives you fresh breath and can also help manage hunger, control snack cravings, and aid in weight loss. Although gum might make you eat less, it doesn't mean you can stop eating right. A good diet and exercise are still important.
Diana, get those GS cookies out of your room!
ReplyDeleteThey are a red light food for you and there's no room for them in your life. Remember, you like to splurge on Martinis with Paul, not cookies with second graders! Get rid of them!
